out of the playoff picture, and there is a question of whether he is
retiring or not (I hope NOT!) .. but until we find out about that, you can
see him on Dancing With the Stars! He's there supporting his wife Kristi

abc.com. June 19, 2006 Heddy did it! He has won the Stanley Cup! Third time was the charm! What an awesome series and great way to win it. I was on the edge of my seat for the entire third period, I screamed so loud when they got the empty-netter ... it was awesome! SO much better than the game Saturday night .. the Canes came to play tonite! Right off the bat you knew they had the chance to win it. I'm so happy for the entire team! Congratulations!! Also - Heddy & Kristi's little girls are SO cute!! June 17, 2006 Well Heddy and Carolina didn't win it :P It REALLY helps when you actually get shots on goal! (and staying out of the Penalty Box would help too!) So its off to game 7 we go - and I hope this one is a win for Carolina! At least the pre-game skate was good! Hedican totally noticed me :) And I got to meet a few fans from Raleigh - one of whom is a neighbour of Bret & Kristi in Carolina - that was really cool :) June 16, 2006 I AM GOING TO GAME 6!! I am so excited - I got tickets to Game 6 on Saturday night!! I'll be there cheering Hedican on to his first Stanley Cup Championship!
June 13, 2006Hedican and the Carolina Hurricanes are one win away from winning the Stanley Cup Final!! I couldn't be happier for Hedican and the rest of the team. There was an excellent article on Hedican on NHL.com today - check it out! June 1, 2006 OMG!! The Carolina Hurricanes are going to the Stanley Cup Finals.. against the Edmonton Oilers!!!! (I live in Edmonton) This is like my dream series (well my dream would be the Vancouver Canucks being in the final..) Now if ONLY I could get tickets to a game.. it is virtually impossible! If I can't be at a game.. at least I can support them otherwise! I'm sure I'll be one of the few people here displaying Carolina Hurricanes gear! Hey I have no fear, I'm not scared of ALL those Oilers fans :) Besides - have to support those Fort Saskatchewan boys too! (I'm from Fort Saskatchewan) Congrats Hedican on making it to the Finals - I hope third times the charm!!P.S. I have started a re-design of this website, I hope to have it live in time for the 2006/2007 season November 19, 2005: Congratulations to Bret and Kristi on the birth of their 2nd daughter on Wednesday. Her name is Emma Yoshiko. Even though this website is in need of some major updating - it will at least remain online. I will be re-doing the site in the next month or so. Hedican looks to be having a good season so far in the new NHL .. and I noticed in the game today (vs the Rangers) that he's the Alternate Captain. I'm assuming this is because Captain Rod Brind'Amour is out with an injury. June 3, 2005: OK - no hockey - no updates to this website. When the players want to play hockey - then maybe I'll want to update this website. But at least I've got it back online - it was down for about a month because I forgot to transfer it to my new web host.. oops! If anything is not working properly on this website .. I apologize. Its in need of some major updates. In the meantime - some old news - Bret is an ambassador for Be Active North Carolina. Cute picture of Bret with Keara on the website. December 10, 2003: Post number 2.. I added the only 2 pics that really turned out from the pre-game warm-up yesterday. Pic 1 and Pic 2 December 10, 2003: Saw Hedican play in Edmonton last night.. great game! The Oilers sucked ... so of course we were cheering for Carolina. We were hoping Marty Murray would get a a hat-trick .. but it didn't happen. Carolina did score three goals though, and Heddy had an assist on the second one. Even better was Heddy said Hi to me in the pre-game.. and Hi to my friend Wendy to .. we thought that was really cool :) I'll have some pics from the game up soon ... and more to come, as I am flying out to Vancouver Friday night to see the Canucks/Carolina game on Sunday (although at that game I'll be cheering for the Canucks .. but its OK with me if Heddy get some points too :) ) December 2, 2003: The Dec 8, 2003 issue of People Magazine (out this week) has pictures of Bret, Kristi and Keara. Be sure to check it out! November 26, 2003: Happy American Thanksgiving! Hedican deserves his turkey dinner tomorrow, he played an excellent game tonight... and I was actually watching the game..bonus! Bret got a goal and an assist in Carolina's 2-0 shutout of the New York Islanders. Heddy was the second star of the game.. and they interviewed him after the game :) (This was the first Carolina game I really watched this season... maybe I should watch more often :) ) More updates to come soon... and some new pictures for sure next month after I see Hedican play in Edmonton and Vancouver (and maybe Calgary... debating that one) October 2, 2003: Its a Girl! Congratulations to Bret and Kristi on the birth of their daughter Keara Kiyomi Hedican who came into the world October 1, 2003, weighing 7lbs.
